2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, Leaky Lake Vineyard

This vintage yielded just two barrels from 3 acres. Aged in new French oak for 24 months, we produced 47 cases.

Robust Crimson Plum color. Deep nose of black cherries and raspberries, currants, incense and baking spices. Ripe and supple palate of cherry liquor, cassis, black olive, sweet vanilla, cedar and canela. Long, ripe mouth-filling tannins, and a deft balancing acidity. Well-filled and superbly defined. Decant and serve now with seared hanger steaks or age through 2025 to be served with Filet Mignon.
